Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nerubian Assasin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chong Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Li is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by dig it deeper just to throw it away. Chong Li has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Assasin as Li shoots in.
Assasin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Assasin throws a hook to the side of Li's head but Li sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Li closes the distance and clinches up with Assasin, looking for a takedown. Li pushes Assasin against the cage but Assasin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Assasin misses with a looping left.
Assasin stuffs the takedown.
Nerubian Assasin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chong Li.
Assasin bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
It looks like Chong Li has been cut.
Li drops his hands momentarily and Assasin takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Assasin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Assasin wants it to stay on the feet.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Assasin is pulling down on Li's head. It's preventing any offense from Li, at least for the moment.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Assasin throws a jab when Li was well out of range.

Li displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Assasin throws out the jab.
Li uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Assasin.
Li shoots in and drives through. Assasin sprawls well.

Li uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Assasin.
Assasin connects with a right hand. Li shakes it off.
Assasin is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Li dives in and grabs Assasin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Assasin pushes down on Li's head and hops out.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Li.
Assasin throws a big shot that misses.
Assasin scores with a punch to the head.
Li shoots in looking for a takedown. Assasin tries to sprawl out of it but Li keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Assasin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Assasin gets caught flat footed, as Li shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Li drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Assasin manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Li has Assasin in his guard.
Assasin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Li wants to sweep here but Assasin controlling him for the moment.

Li isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Assasin stacks Li on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Assasin!
Assasin passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Li!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Assasin stands up from mount. Strange move.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Assasin smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Li shoots in looking for a takedown. Assasin tries to sprawl out of it but Li keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Assasin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Chong Li seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Assasin looks to score with a jab to the body but Li is just out of range.
Li is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nerubian Assasin dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Chong Li's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Li looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Assasin is fending him off so far but Li persists. Nope, Assasin circles away and we're back to standing.

Assasin paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Li is rocked!
The cut above Chong Li's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Assasin closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Li out cold! Li corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
