Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Charneski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adriano Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charneski comes to the cage accompanied by Pongale por las hileras. Ribeiro is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by System Of A Down - Chop Suey. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luiz Charneski! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adriano Ribeiro! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Charneski slips a jab from Ribeiro. Ribeiro instigates a clinch. Ribeiro's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ribeiro will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Charneski shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ribeiro manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Charneski drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ribeiro manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Charneski has Ribeiro in his guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Charneski holds on and takes a little breather.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ribeiro advances position into side control! Ribeiro tries to get to his feet but Charneski is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Ribeiro in his guard. Charneski keeping full guard, as Ribeiro tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ribeiro controlling from the top position. Charneski keeping full guard, as Ribeiro tries to pass. Ribeiro controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Ribeiro must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Charneski is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ribeiro content to stall in guard here. Ribeiro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Charneski swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Adriano Ribeiro will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Charneski throws a series of punches but Ribeiro moves out of range. Charneski displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ribeiro throws out the jab. Charneski shoots in for a takedown but Ribeiro shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Charneski fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ribeiro, pushing him back against the cage. Ribeiro escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Charneski counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Charneski wants to control but Ribeiro is keeping him busy. Charneski is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ribeiro doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Charneski.

Ribeiro is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Charneski is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Charneski not doing much here.
Charneski is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ribeiro defends it well.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Charneski tries to keep at a distance but Ribeiro has taken the fight into the clinch. Ribeiro manages to break the clinch.

Charneski gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Ribeiro counters with a straight right hand. Ribeiro misses with a wild combination.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Charneski slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Ribeiro is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Charneski is controlling him well. Charneski is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ribeiro has escaped the position, nice work there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ribeiro sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ribeiro throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Luiz Charneski is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A shot to de liver by Ribeiro. Beautiful body shot. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ribeiro shoots and misses and Charneski counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Charneski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ribeiro swivels though and keeps the full guard. Charneski wants to control from the top but Ribeiro keeps moving.

Charneski winds up and cracks Ribeiro with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Charneski throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ribeiro. Ribeiro drives through and clinches with Charneski against the cage.
Ribeiro has had enough of the clinch but Charneski keeps him there for the moment. Ribeiro pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Charneski dodges the punch combination from Ribeiro.
Charneski bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Ribeiro is not content to let Charneski control the position. Ribeiro is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell? Charneski swings around for an armbar but Ribeiro sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Charneski's guard.
