Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Norifume Nissei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Davison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davison avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Davison throws a head kick but Nissei moves out of range.
Norifume Nissei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nissei tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Davison paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Davison doesn't manage to clinch there - Nissei circles away.
Nissei tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Davison tries to close the distance and clinch but Nissei swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Davison throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Nissei shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Davison sprawls well. Davison wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nissei gets slowly back to his feet.

Davison is bucking up trying to escape but Nissei cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Davison really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nissei. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Nissei wants to finish this one by submission but Davison is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Nissei.

Nissei sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Nissei has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Davison's face.

Nissei cracks Davison with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Davison's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Davison wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Nissei.

Nissei tries to clinch up but Davison circles away and keeps his distance.
Nissei has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Davison finds it's way round the side to connect with Nissei's head.

Davison rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nissei moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Davison throws a sloppy head kick and Nissei moves out of range easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davison is not content to let Nissei control the position.
Davison dodges the ground and pound from Nissei.

Nissei wants to control but Davison is keeping him busy.
The strikes coming from Nissei are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Davison pushes Nissei away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Nissei gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Nissei lands a few punches from side control.
Nissei misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Davison throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Nissei on the side of the head.
