The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Der Boss tries to clinch up but Almeida circles away and keeps his distance.

Almeida feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Der Boss can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Almeida controls the pace.

Der Boss is trying to control Almeida's posture but Almeida avoids it.
Almeida lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Almeida is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Der Boss's shoulder. That is not cool.

Almeida working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Almeida thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Almeida cracks Der Boss with a big right hand but Der Boss just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Almeida has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Der Boss is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Almeida yanks on the arm and Der Boss is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Almeida.
