Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andre Shankar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dalton Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shankar comes to the cage accompanied by "Them Belly Full" by Bob Marley. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andre Shankar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dalton Perry! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shankar looks to land a right hand but Perry moved out of range. Perry misses with a takedown attempt - Shankar sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Perry dodges the punch combination from Shankar.
Perry shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shankar sprawls well. Shankar wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Perry gets slowly back to his feet. Shankar displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Perry. Andre Shankar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dalton Perry. Shankar digs a good body shot into Perry's ribs. Shankar moves into the clinch. Perry blocks a body shot from Shankar. Perry lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Perry blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Shankar looking to slow down the pace here. Perry blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Perry can't get the takedown.
Perry gets control of Shankar's arms and successfully pulls guard. Perry will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Shankar wants to stand but Perry has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shankar decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Perry gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Shankar.
It looks like Dalton Perry has been cut. Perry uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shankar.
Shankar stalks Perry and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Perry's face. Perry staggers backwards, shaken. Shankar swinging wilding here.
Shankar is looking to clinch. Shankar digs a good hook to Perry's body.
This has been an exciting period of action! Shankar throws an overhand right that lands on Perry's shoulder, as Perry tries to avoid the shot. Shankar throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Perry. Andre Shankar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Perry clinches. Perry is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. A battle for position here, against the cage. Shankar is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Perry is defending well for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shankar is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Perry is keeping busy. Perry lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Shankar backwards. Shankar misses with an elbow strike.
Perry tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Perry is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Shankar gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Perry on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Perry swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Shankar is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Perry is defending well for now. Shankar taking a breather. Perry has Shankar pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Shankar manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Perry wants the takedown. Shankar is fighting it off but Perry persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Shankar's guard against the cage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shankar keeping moving, preventing Perry from controlling successfully. Perry looking to pass the guard. Perry is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Shankar wants to get back to his feet but Perry is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Perry trying to move into half guard but instead Shankar has managed to sweep! Perry looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Shankar has picked Perry up and slammed him! Perry can't keep hold of the triangle and Shankar manages to pass to side control! Shankar has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Shankar misses with a straight left. Andre Shankar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Perry shoots in for a takedown but Shankar shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Shankar waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Perry. Perry fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Perry looks gassed! Perry fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Shankar tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Perry uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Shankar. Shankar pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Perry scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Perry is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Shankar is just riding it out for now. Perry eventually gives up the hold. Shankar wants to get back to his feet.

Perry slips under a jab from Shankar. Perry throws a looping overhand right but Shankar ducks down to avoid it. Shankar throws the left hand but Perry avoids the punch easily. Shankar misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Perry lands with a nice combination. Shankar backs away looking to recover. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Perry. Shankar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Perry manages to avoid it. Perry shoots in and bounces Shankar off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Perry trying to control but Shankar is working from the bottom. Perry has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Shankar is proving hard to escape from.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shankar wants to get back to his feet but Perry is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Perry wants to stand and escape but instead Shankar has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Perry looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Perry is breathing heavily. Perry not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Shankar tries to stand but Perry is controlling from the bottom. Perry looking for a guillotine here but Shankar defends easily.
Perry escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shankar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Shankar lands with a nice body kick. Shankar scores with a jab. Perry closes the distance and clinches. Perry throws a punch but it's blocked by Shankar. A short right hand to the side of the head by Perry. A left hand lands to the body for Shankar.
Shankar's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Shankar looking to stall.
A short right from Perry. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Still in the clinch, Perry scores with a nice short uppercut. Perry gets control of Shankar's arms and successfully pulls guard. Perry will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Perry controls Shankar momentarily but Shankar frees himself. Shankar gets to his feet - Perry follows without any prompting. Perry drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Perry landing some decent shots from guard. Shankar pushes Perry off and scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Perry shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Shankar's guard. Perry forces his way into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dalton Perry showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Dalton Perry's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Shankar swats away the attempt to clinch by Perry. No joy there for Shankar, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Perry shoots in for a double leg but Shankar sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Perry tries for a takedown but Shankar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Shankar works the jab nicely. Shankar throws a combination that misses so Perry counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Perry loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Perry wants to pass the guard but Shankar is keeping the position. Perry won't allow Shankar to get back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dalton Perry has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perry trying to control but Shankar is working from the bottom. Perry won't allow Shankar to get back to his feet. Perry stands up and waves to Shankar to follow him. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Perry is defended easily by Shankar. Andre Shankar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dalton Perry. Shankar avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Perry fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Andre Shankar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Some wild striking there from Shankar.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Shankar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Perry shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Shankar is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Shankar is bucking up trying to escape but Perry cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Perry wants to finish this one by submission but Shankar is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Perry. Shankar is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Perry is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Shankar has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Shankar! Shankar won't allow Perry to sweep him here. Perry is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Perry is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Shankar is just riding it out for now. Perry eventually gives up the hold.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shankar manages to escape and get back to his feet! Shankar misses with a hook. Perry ducked under it nicely. Perry fails with a takedown attempt. Shankar lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Shankar throws a lazy head kick and Perry counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Shankar!
And that's the end of the fight! Dalton Perry comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Perry has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
