Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boris Strelok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boris Strelok has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mike Dean's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Dean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Boris Strelok!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dean bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Strelok tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dean wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Strelok wants to control but Dean postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Strelok is looking to reverse the position.
Strelok manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Strelok is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Dean shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dean was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Strelok is looking to get to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Strelok is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Strelok wants to hold on but Dean pushes him away.
Strelok is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Strelok tries to improve his position but instead Dean has taken his back!
A bit of a pause in the action here. Dean controlling the positon.
Dean knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Strelok on the ground.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
You can see the frustration on Strelok's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Strelok looking very determined here, making life difficult for Dean.
Strelok trying to control the action but Dean just sinks the hooks in.

Strelok tries to escape the position.

Dean is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Strelok knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Strelok for a finish.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dean is breathing heavily.
Strelok wants to control his opponent's hands but Dean gets his hands free.
Strelok turns into Dean and is now in his guard.
Strelok trying to control but Dean is working from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Strelok fails with the takedown

and Dean counters with a single leg into guard. Strelok didn't expect that.

Strelok looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Dean trying to control the position from guard on top but Strelok is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Strelok has an active guard here but Dean has managed to pass into half guard.
Dean working Strelok over with strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Dean's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Nice sprawl there from Strelok as Dean shoots in.
Dean gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Strelok counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Dean keeping full guard, as Strelok tries to pass.
Strelok advances position into side control!
Dean wants to control but Strelok postures up.

Strelok working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Strelok has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Strelok looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Strelok thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Strelok punching from mount but Dean doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dean tries to lock up and control but Strelok gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Dean holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Strelok tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Dean defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Strelok.

Strelok working for a submission but Dean is keeping him at bay.
Dean wants to hold on but Strelok pushes him away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Strelok misses with a head shot.
Strelok throwing strikes here but Dean is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Strelok scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Dean?
Dean wants to hold on but Strelok pushes him away.

Strelok is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Dean has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Dean avoids a series of strikes thrown by Strelok.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Dean tries to lock up and control but Strelok gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Strelok looking to secure an arm triangle but Dean defends it well.
Dean wants to control but Strelok is having none of it.
Dean is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Boris Strelok showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Dean has his takedown stuffed

so Strelok counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Strelok looking to pass the guard.
Dean preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Strelok passes into half guard.
Dean is looking to control Strelok's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dean avoid being mounted?
Boris Strelok has got the better of the ground game so far.
Dean is not content to let Strelok control the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Strelok is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Dean wants to control but Strelok is keeping busy.
Strelok throwing shots but Dean is blocking nicely.
Strelok throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Strelok scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Strelok missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Strelok thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dean's head.
Strelok seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Let's hope that Strelok has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Dean keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Strelok seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dean does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Strelok is trying for a kimura here. Dean looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Strelok wins by kimura!
