Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herenton fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Emelianenko, pushing him back against the cage.
With the fighters up against the cage, Emelianenko throws an elbow but misses.
Herenton tries to pull guard but Emelianenko holds him up against the cage and eventually Herenton drops back down to his feet.
Herenton can't get the takedown.
Herenton turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Herenton has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Herenton tries to score a power double leg takedown but Emelianenko sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Herenton somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Willie Herenton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fight stays on the outside here - Emelianenko looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Herenton shoots in looking for a takedown. Emelianenko tries to sprawl out of it but Herenton keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Emelianenko manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Herenton feints and as Emelianenko raises his hands in defense, Herenton changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Herenton shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Herenton was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Emelianenko is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Herenton pulls his head out easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Herenton counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
And that's the end of the fight!
