Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jecht Sin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Smith!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith scores with a nice head shot.


It looks like Jecht Sin has been cut.
Sin misses with a takedown attempt - Smith sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Smith keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nice takedown defense from Smith. No joy for Sin on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jecht Sin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Smith shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Sin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Smith gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Smith decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and Smith decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sin's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sin manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Sin is breathing heavily.
Smith working to try and regain half guard.

Sin is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Smith can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Sin goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Smith is on top in guard.
Smith is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Smith must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Sin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Smith gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Smith gets to his feet - Sin follows without any prompting.
Sin shoots and misses

and Smith decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sin's guard.
Sin working a defensive guard but Smith passes into half guard.
Sin trying to get back to full guard but Smith takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Sin manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Sin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Smith wants to stand but Sin has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Smith is controlling the pace.
Sin gets back to full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Smith trying to hold on to Sin's head to control him but Sin postures up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sin trying to control from Smith's half guard. Smith has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Sin wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Smith dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jecht Sin's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Sin tries for a takedown but Smith circles away easily

and Smith counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sin won't be happy with that.
Sin is looking for a sweep.
Smith in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Sin is looking for a sweep.
Sin is trying to work for a sweep but Smith has mounted him!
Sin wants to hold on but Smith pushes him away.
Sin is desperately trying to improve his position but Smith has a good base and remains in mount.

Sin sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Sin wants to control but Smith is keeping busy.
Smith with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Smith is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Sin is trying to get back to full guard.

Smith decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Smith scores with a nice head shot.
Jecht Sin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Sin slips a jab and a cross from Smith.
Sin with a poor takedown
letting Smith counter with a right hand.
Sin fails with the takedown
and Smith counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jecht Sin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Smith decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sin's guard.


Sin is rocked!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Sin is working an open guard so Smith takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Oh Sin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Smith closes the distance looking for a takedown. Sin stuffs it but Smith still has hold of him. Smith picks Sin up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Smith slams Sin to the floor and that's really hurt Sin - he doesn't know where he is! Smith throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Smith!
