Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Guilherme Fagundes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renzo Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fagundes kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Fuel - Metallica. The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Matheus Silva and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fagundes but Fagundes pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Fagundes scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Alves doesn't seem bothered though.
Fagundes gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Alves controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Fagundes wants to get back to his feet but Alves is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Alves trying to control but Fagundes is working from the bottom.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fagundes holds on and takes a little breather.

Fagundes is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Fagundes working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Alves.
Alves trying to control the position from guard on top but Fagundes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Horrible takedown by Alves or perhaps it was just good defense by Fagundes which made him look bad.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Fagundes wants to stand up but Alves has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Fagundes content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fagundes throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Alves works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Fagundes trying to control the position from guard on top but Alves is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fagundes got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alves has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fagundes has managed to get both his arms back between Alves's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Fagundes slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Fagundes is looking to stand up but Alves won't let him.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Alves tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fagundes paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Fagundes counters with a lovely straight right hand!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Fagundes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Alves's guard.

Alves takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Fagundes dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Alves throws a left and a right that both miss
and Fagundes counters with a left to the body.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Fagundes!

and Fagundes counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Renzo Alves is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Fagundes counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Fagundes counters with a series of strikes. Alves will be more careful next time no doubt.
Fagundes throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Alves was covering up waiting for the punch and Fagundes finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Fagundes is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Fagundes is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Alves has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Fagundes is looking to defend but Alves has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Fagundes! Alves pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Fagundes taps out and this one is all over!
