Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Emilio Resendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rino Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams has chosen Uomodisu - Stai Su as his entrance music. Rino Williams is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Emilio Resendez! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rino Williams! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Resendez throws a head kick that half lands.
Williams closes this distance looking for a takedown but Resendez circles away. Resendez misses with a body kick. Williams gets a takedown into half guard. Williams sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Resendez defending well though. Resendez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Resendez tries to roll over but Williams keeps him under control. Williams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Resendez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Williams is taking a breather. Resendez says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Resendez wants to control but Williams is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Resendez makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Resendez. Williams showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Resendez working a defensive guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Resendez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Resendez is striking but Williams is not phased and passes to half guard. Williams stands up and beckons Resendez to join him on the feet. Resendez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Williams counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Williams. Resendez tries to strike from the bottom.
Resendez controls Williams momentarily but Williams frees himself. Resendez throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams chips away with some ground and pound. Williams wants to stand but Resendez has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Williams throws a strike but Resendez rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Resendez trying to control the position from guard on top but Williams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Williams looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Resendez stands up from Williams's guard - Resendez perhaps looking for a knockout. Resendez leaves Williams with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Williams takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
A solid body kick from Resendez. Williams rushes Resendez and presses him up against the cage. Williams goes for a takedown attempt but Resendez pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Emilio Resendez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rino Williams. Resendez lands with a nice body kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rino Williams dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Left hook, right uppercut from Resendez. Williams bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Resendez is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Resendez throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Williams trying to control the position but Resendez is working away. Resendez is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Williams is controlling him well. Resendez manages to get back to half guard. Resendez trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Williams tries to control but Resendez wriggling away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Resendez is trying desperately to improve position. Williams controlling from the full mount. Williams tries to control but Resendez wriggling away. Resendez is looking to improve his position but Williams isn't that keen on the idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Williams postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Resendez looks a forlorn figure.
Resendez is looking to get to half guard. Resendez sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Resendez trying to control from the bottom.
Williams seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Resendez is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Williams pulls his head out easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Resendez is looking to improve his position.
Williams looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Resendez throws a strike from the bottom but Williams passes into side control!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Williams trying to control the position but Resendez is working away. Resendez gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Resendez trying to control from the bottom.
Williams keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Williams is looking to take a break and control but Resendez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Resendez is looking to control Williams's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Resendez avoid being mounted? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rino Williams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Williams looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Resendez throws a hook to the side of Williams's head but Williams sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Williams tries to clinch but Resendez moves out of range. Resendez has his takedown stuffed and Williams counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Williams throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Resendez. Resendez with a lazy takedown attempt and Williams moves into the clinch. Resendez takes a knee right on the jaw!
Resendez misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Williams.
Williams ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Williams no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Rino Williams has got the better of the ground game so far. Williams throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Resendez won't allow Williams to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Resendez would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Williams is looking for a triangle but Resendez pushes his legs off easily.
Williams takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Williams is adopting a defensive guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Williams can do anything to dispel that myth. Resendez looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Resendez chips away with some ground and pound.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Williams throws a sloppy head kick and Resendez counters with a low kick, right behind Williams 's knee. Williams tests Resendez's chin there with a solid looking shot. Williams fails with a takedown attempt. Resendez looks to clinch and Williams counters with a single leg into guard. Resendez didn't expect that. Resendez manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Williams is wriggling around trying to escape.
Resendez wants to take Williams's back here but Williams is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Resendez content just to control the position here. Resendez lands a nice shot to the head. Resendez tries to control but Williams wriggling away. Williams tries to hold on but Resendez pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Williams is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Resendez is staying active. Williams is looking to get to half guard. Resendez sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Resendez trying to control but Williams is having none of it. Resendez is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Williams is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Emilio Resendez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rino Williams is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Williams defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Resendez.
And that's the end of the fight! Rino Williams comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Williams winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
