Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bas Rutten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Sleeper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rutten comes to the ring accompanied by Joe Esposito - Your the Best Around. Sleeper is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Love me Sexy. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bas Rutten!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyler Sleeper!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutten throws a nice looking combination but Sleeper bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Sleeper tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Rutten paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rutten lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Sleeper backs up against the ropes.


It looks like Tyler Sleeper has been cut.
Sleeper takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Rutten throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sleeper.
Rutten tries to clinch but Sleeper moves out of range.

It looks like Bas Rutten has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sleeper shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rutten lands with a slapping head kick.

Rutten throws a right and a left that Sleeper avoids nicely.
Sleeper misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sleeper shoots in but Rutten avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Rutten shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sleeper is trying to defend but Rutten finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Rutten has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Rutten looking for a guillotine from mount but Sleeper is having none of it.
Sleeper's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Rutten has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Sleeper's body.
Sleeper is trying to get back to his feet but Rutten has full control of the position and if anything, Sleeper has just worked his way into a worse spot.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


The crowd cheers as Sleeper lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rutten doesn't seem phased though.
Rutten throws a wild body kick that Sleeper sees coming a mile off.
Rutten is looking to clinch.
Sleeper throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rutten throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sleeper.
Sleeper chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rutten can pounce on him.

Rutten scores with a crisp jab that stopped Sleeper in his tracks.
Sleeper takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Rutten lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Rutten looks to land a combination but Sleeper avoids it well.
Rutten swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sleeper counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Rutten throws a body punch but Sleeper moves out of range.

Rutten takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sleeper is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Rutten's half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Rutten is desperately trying to improve his position but Sleeper has a good base and remains in mount.

Sleeper takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Rutten throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sleeper's waist but Sleeper gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rutten off to one side.

and Sleeper counters by moving into the clinch.

Sleeper has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Rutten is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Sleeper is keeping busy.

Well Rutten has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
