Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Claremont (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glenn Watchdog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Claremont is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Claremont! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Glenn Watchdog! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Claremont misses with a takedown attempt - Watchdog sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Claremont avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Claremont tries to clinch up but Watchdog circles away and keeps his distance. Watchdog tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Claremont counters with a single leg into guard. Watchdog didn't expect that. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Claremont's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Watchdog trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Watchdog throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Watchdog lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.
Watchdog thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Claremont makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Watchdog tries to strike from the bottom.

Claremont postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Claremont trying to control the position from guard on top but Watchdog is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Claremont has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Claremont takes a decent strike to the side of the head. Watchdog looking for a guillotine here but Claremont defends easily.
Watchdog isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Claremont stacks Watchdog on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Claremont! Claremont in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Watchdog throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. Watchdog is not content to let Claremont control the position. Claremont working the head with strikes. Claremont blocks the strikes from Watchdog.
Claremont stands up and we're back to a striking position. Claremont gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Watchdog drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Claremont gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Watchdog looks gassed! Claremont lands a damaging elbow. Claremont lands a shot to the body. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Claremont takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Claremont manages to break the clinch.

It looks like Glenn Watchdog has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Claremont has closed the distance and engaged Watchdog in a clinch.
Claremont lands an elbow inside. Claremont softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Claremont ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Claremont no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Claremont is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Watchdog got a little sloppy there for a moment and Claremont has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Watchdog has managed to get both his arms back between Claremont's legs - danger averted.

Claremont looking to hit a scissor sweep but Watchdog is one step ahead there. Claremont is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Claremont utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Watchdog throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Claremont works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Watchdog accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Claremont striking from his own guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Watchdog shoots and misses and Claremont counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Matt Claremont has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Glenn Watchdog. Claremont throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Claremont wants the takedown. Watchdog is fighting it off but Claremont persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Watchdog's guard against the cage. Watchdog looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Claremont content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Claremont lands a couple of elbows. Claremont slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Claremont gets to his feet. Watchdog looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Claremont looks to land a combination. Watchdog sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Claremont tries to clinch there but Watchdog circles away.
Claremont dips down and scores with a jab to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Claremont dominated that round. The cut man is working on Glenn Watchdog's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Claremont tests Watchdog's chin there with a solid looking shot. Watchdog misses with a takedown and Claremont counters by moving into the clinch. Claremont breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Claremont bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Watchdog's guard. Watchdog is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Claremont is aware though and is defending well. Watchdog trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Watchdog striking off his back but it's not causing Claremont any problems. Watchdog is breathing heavily. Claremont landing some decent shots from guard. Claremont passes Watchdog's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Claremont thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Claremont avoids the strikes from the bottom by Watchdog. Watchdog takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Matt Claremont overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Claremont looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Watchdog tries to buck Claremont off but Claremont is having none of it. Claremont stands up and beckons Watchdog to his feet. Watchdog gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Claremont counters with a nice uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Claremont bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Claremont lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Watchdog down.
Claremont decides to take the fight back to the feet. Watchdog tries for a takedown but Claremont circles away easily and Claremont counters with a lovely shot to the body. Matt Claremont has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Glenn Watchdog. Watchdog throws a predictable looking body shot
and Claremont makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Watchdog tries for a takedown but Claremont circles away easily and Claremont counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Claremont instigates a clinch. Claremont has Watchdog pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Claremont pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Watchdog tumbling to the mat - Claremont dives into Watchdog's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Watchdog has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Claremont can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Claremont with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Watchdog can do anything to dispel that myth. Claremont not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Claremont is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Watchdog can do to turn this around? No, Watchdog has managed to free his arm - good work. Claremont is trying to control the action in half guard but Watchdog is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Claremont lands strikes from half guard. Watchdog is refusing to be controlled, as Claremont sits in half guard. Watchdog wants to improve his position but Claremont is controlling well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Watchdog takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Watchdog with a poor takedown and Claremont holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Watchdog goes for a takedown attempt but Claremont pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Claremont lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Claremont.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Claremont looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Watchdog won't allow Claremont to sweep him here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Watchdog lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Glenn Watchdog has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Claremont lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Watchdog!
