Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lee Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Blixt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Blixt's choice of entrance music: Stretch Arm Strong - Second Chances. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lee Perry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Blixt! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perry throws a head kick but Blixt moves out of range.
Perry tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Perry blocks the body kick.
Blixt tries to clinch up and Perry counters with a body kick. Blixt looks to clinch and Blixt takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Perry keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Perry darts in trying to clinch and Blixt counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Perry makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Blixt pushes off an throws an elbow but Perry leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Blixt using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Perry has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Blixt tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Perry throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Blixts head. Blixt is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Perry is defending well for now. Blixt looking to throw knees to the head but Perry is blocking nicely.
Blixt jumps guard but Perry stands there with Blixt around his waist. Blixt gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Blixt tries to clinch up and Perry counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Blixt thinking. A head kick misses from Perry. Perry pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Perry lands with a shot to the body. Blixt tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Perry counters with a head kick. That will keep Blixt thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
It looks like Jay Blixt has been cut. Blixt takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Perry lands with a shot to the body. Blixt takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Perry throws a lazy head kick and Blixt counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Blixt sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Perry lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Blixt at a distance.
Perry stuns Blixt with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Perry. Blixt shrugs it off though. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Perry lands a nice hook to Blixt's body. Blixt takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Perry throws a head kick but Blixt moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice body kick from Perry. Blixt closes the distance but Perry moves to the side and Perry counters with a big head kick but Blixt shrugs it off. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Blixt tries to clinch up and Perry counters with a nice uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lee Perry dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jay Blixt's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Blixt wants to clinch but Perry slips to the side and Perry counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. A jab from Perry does it's job there.
That has opened up Jay Blixt's cut even more. A head kick misses from Perry. Perry sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Blixt clinches but Perry breaks the clinch and Perry connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Perry tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Perry is looking to wear down Blixt with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Perry misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Blixt.
Blixt wants to clinch but Perry slips to the side and Perry counters with a good, hard body kick but Blixt shrugs it off. Perry lands a nice shot to the body.
Perry is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Blixt fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Perry is out of range. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Blixt in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Blixt tries to clinch but fails miserably and Perry counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Blixt thinking.

Lee Perry is winning the standup battle so far. Perry throws a half hearted mid kick. Blixt looks to clinch and Perry makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Blixt really felt that one! Blixt is breathing heavily. Blixt closes the distance but Perry moves to the side and Perry counters with a lovely straight right hand! Perry bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Blixt's head. Perry throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Blixt wants to clinch and Perry counters with a nice uppercut. Perry blocks a head kick by Blixt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Perry throws a lazy head kick and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Blixt closes the distance looking to clinch and Perry makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Blixt pushes Perry up against the cage in a clinch. Blixt pulls guard successfully.
Perry gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Perry fakes the leg kick and cracks Blixt in the body. Perry lands a nice looking kick to the body. Blixt takes a step back to recover. Perry throws a sloppy head kick and Blixt moves out of range easily. Perry is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Blixt can do to turn this around?

Blixt has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Perry. Blixt is struggling to control the position. Blixt is looking to control Perry's arms but Perry gets an underhook and turns him. Now Blixt has his back to the cage. Blixt dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Blixt avoids a wild elbow strike from Perry. Perry trying to land knees to the body.
Blixt blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Perry working aggressively here.
Blixt has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Perry uses from the top position. Perry is looking to stand up but Blixt won't let him. Perry has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Blixt wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Blixt closes the distance looking to clinch and Perry counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Blixt wants to clinch but Perry slips to the side and Perry counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Perry circles away from the clinch attempt and Perry makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Perry is leaning against Blixt and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Perry throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Perry to score with a decent uppercut. Perry catches Blixt with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Blixt closes the distance looking to clinch and Perry counters with a three punch combo that has Blixt backing up. Blixt nods at Perry to acknowledge the strikes. Blixt takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Blixt misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Blixt takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Jay Blixt has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Blixt throws a body kick the misses and Perry counters with a head kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Lee Perry showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Perry, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
