Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ian Saga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Sarbinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ian Saga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yuri Sarbinov!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sarbinov scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Saga is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Sarbinov off and has taken his back!

Saga is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Sarbinov has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Saga is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Sarbinov knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Sarbinov for a finish.

Saga escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sarbinov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Saga has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sarbinov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sarbinov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Saga has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sarbinov has managed to get both his arms back between Saga's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Sarbinov is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Sarbinov is looking to take a break and control but Saga is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Saga really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Saga has his foot on Sarbinov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sarbinov works his way back into a safe position though.

Sarbinov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Saga is trying to defend but Sarbinov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Yuri Sarbinov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sarbinov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
