Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ashley one punch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Surman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ashley one punch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jeff Surman!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
one punch fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

one punch scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Surman gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Surman looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Surman flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
one punch throwing shots but Surman is blocking nicely.

Surman looking for submissions off his back.

one punch is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Surman defends it well.

Surman actively working from the bottom here.

one punch is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Surman doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time one punch.
Surman throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
one punch shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Surman as he avoids it easily.

Surman throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. one punch was covering up waiting for the punch and Surman finishes the takedown easily into guard.

one punch has his foot on Surman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Surman works his way back into a safe position though.

Surman drops back looking for a leg! one punch is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and one punch manages to kick Surman off! Surman jumps back into one punch's guard.

one punch escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Surman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
one punch is breathing heavily.

one punch working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Surman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Surman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Surman stands and throws one punch's legs to the side, diving into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
one punch is trying to improve his position.
Surman cracks one punch with a big right hand but one punch just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
one punch is looking for a sweep.

Surman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. one punch knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
one punch gets back to half guard.

Surman is working for a submission of some sort.
Surman not landing any meaningful shots this time.
one punch gets back to full guard.

one punch is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Surman wants to control from the top but one punch keeps moving.
one punch is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

one punch escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Surman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Surman passes into half guard.
Surman looks to land a strike but one punch avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

one punch looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Surman throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

one punch pushes a forearm under Surman's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Surman is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ashley one punch!
