Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wacko Warner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Blanket Jackson! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Warner blocks a head kick by Jackson.
Jackson tries to clinch but Warner moves out of range. Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Warner swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch but Warner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Warner really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. A chopping leg kick lands by Jackson. Warner blocks a head kick by Jackson.

Warner shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jackson napping and manages to drive through into side control! Warner tries to move to mount but Jackson blocks the move with his legs. Jackson seems a little lost for a moment, as Warner dominates the positioning. Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Warner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Warner throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Jackson gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Warner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Warner. Warner controlling his opponent. Warner looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Warner controlling the position easily from mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson tries to hold on but Warner pushes him away. Warner sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Warner breaks from Jackson's wrist control and lands an elbow. Warner throws some wild stikes that Jackson manages to avoid easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Warner controlling the pace for now. Jackson is desperately trying to improve his position but Warner has a good base and remains in mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson tries to buck Warner off but Warner takes his back! Warner is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Warner struggling to land strikes to the head as Jackson covers up. Warner is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Warner has the hooks in. Jackson is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Warner is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Jackson knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Jackson for a finish. Warner biding his time, controlling Jackson.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Wacko Warner just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Jackson tries to clinch up. Jackson throws a half hearted mid kick. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jackson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Warner circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jackson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson misses with a head kick.

Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch but Warner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Warner fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wacko Warner. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jackson fails in his attempt to clinch. Jackson fails with the takedown and Warner counters with a shoot takedown. Jackson fights it but they end up in guard. Warner throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Warner controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Warner working some strikes from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Warner thows a big elbow that misses. Warner is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Jackson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Warner is one step ahead there. Warner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Warner slips nicely into half guard. Warner looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Jackson works his way to full guard. Good work. Warner slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Warner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Warner preventing the sweep. Warner postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Warner seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Jackson keeping full guard, as Warner tries to pass. Warner will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Warner looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Warner loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wacko Warner dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Warner is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jackson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Jackson clinches but Warner breaks the clinch and Warner counters with a single leg into guard. Jackson didn't expect that. Warner with a flurry of punches that miss. Warner passes easily into side control. Nice work. Wacko Warner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jackson struggling a bit here. Jackson seems a little lost for a moment, as Warner dominates the positioning. The strikes coming from Warner are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Warner in side control, throwing shots but Jackson defends. Warner takes a little break here. Jackson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

A lull in the action here. Warner throwing shots but missing, from side control. Warner is staying tight to Jackson's torso, preventing him from escaping.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Wacko Warner just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Jackson throws a sloppy head kick and Warner moves out of range easily. Jackson tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Warner counters by clinching up. A head punch blocked on the inside by Warner. Jackson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson tries to land a knee to the head but Warner blocks with his arms.
Warner drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jackson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jackson darts in trying to clinch and Warner counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jackson's guard now. Warner controls from within his opponent's guard. Warner has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Warner seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jackson for as long as he can get away with. Wacko Warner is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

And that's the end of the fight! Wacko Warner showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Warner, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
