Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Darren King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy McCranky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Darren King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy McCranky!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King cracks a nice hook into McCranky's ribs.
King looks to throw the jab but McCranky is out of range.
Nice sprawl there from King as McCranky shoots in.
Nice uppercut there from McCranky.
King thows a body shot but no joy.

McCranky changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. King looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
King parries the strikes from McCranky easily there. McCranky is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable King to escape.

McCranky tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McCranky has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

McCranky lands a few punches from side control.

McCranky tries for a kimura but King is defending well.
McCranky misses with the ground and pound.
McCranky creates some space and throws a big elbow, but King sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

McCranky decides to stand back up.
King is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
McCranky takes a swing at King's ribcage but misses.
McCranky fails with a takedown attempt.
McCranky looks gassed!
King cracks McCranky with an open hand slap.

McCranky doesn't manage to clinch there - King circles away.
McCranky defending well as King loads up on a big left hand.
McCranky keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McCranky misses with a straight right.
King scores with a one two! McCranky had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
McCranky dives in and grabs King's left leg, looking for a takedown. King pushes down on McCranky's head and hops out.
Darren King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy McCranky.
King works McCranky's body with a nice hook.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McCranky lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but King circles away quickly and effectively.
Darren King is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
King lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

McCranky is rocked!

King connects with a single shot there.
McCranky is still on wobbly legs! Can King finish him?

King fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked McCranky out cold! Brutal finish!
