Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jason Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Fadden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fadden has chosen Walk as his entrance music. Jack Fadden acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Fadden!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson misses with a double jab.
Fadden tries to close the distance and clinch but Johnson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Fadden doesn't manage to clinch there - Johnson circles away.
Jack Fadden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fadden was well out of range. Poor timing from Johnson.
Fadden misses with a takedown attempt - Johnson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Johnson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Johnson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Johnson shoots in and bounces Fadden off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Fadden is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Johnson defends well.

Johnson postures up in Fadden's guard and throws a big left but Fadden blocks it.

Fadden will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Fadden is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Fadden misses with a head shot. Johnson uses the momentum to regain guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Fadden wants to pass the guard but Johnson is keeping the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Fadden is desperately trying to improve his position but Johnson has a good base and remains in mount.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Johnson goes for an armbar but Fadden turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Fadden.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fadden accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Fadden in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Fadden throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Johnson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Fadden drops back, looking for a kneebar! Johnson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Johnson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Johnson!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fadden is looking to reverse the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Johnson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Fadden fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Fadden is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.

It looks like Jack Fadden has been cut.

Fadden scores a takedown into full mount!

Fadden is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Johnson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Johnson!
Fadden is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fadden keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Johnson's head.

Fadden drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Johnson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Fadden has Johnson in his guard.

Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fadden swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Johnson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Johnson throws a series of punches but Fadden avoids them all with ease.

and Johnson counters with a left and a right that stings Fadden.

Johnson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Johnson throws a series of punches but Fadden avoids them all with ease.
Johnson throws a nice looking combination but Fadden bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Johnson tries to lock up and control but Fadden gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jason Johnson will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Jack Fadden's cut.
That's time! Johnson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Fadden clinches but Johnson breaks the clinch
and Johnson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Fadden throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fadden off to one side.

and Johnson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Fadden thinking.
Fadden takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fadden changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johnson tries to avoid it but Fadden manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johnson to the ground. Johnson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jason Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Fadden.
Fadden ducks right into an uppercut from Johnson.
Fadden tries to clinch but Johnson moves away
and Johnson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Fadden's knee momentarily.
Fadden tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Johnson counters with a head kick. That will keep Fadden thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

and Johnson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Fadden fails to land the takedown.

Fadden bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Jack Fadden has got the better of the ground game so far.

Fadden wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Johnson, who protects the arm well.
Johnson is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
Johnson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Fadden off and has taken his back!

The referee is taking a good look at Fadden as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Johnson!

Fadden stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Fadden throws and elbow that misses. Johnson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fadden's guard. Nice move by Johnson!

Fadden is striking off his back. Johnson thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Johnson is looking to stall here but Fadden recovers full guard.
Jack Fadden has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well Johnson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
