Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Evan Gauge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and KING KONG (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Evan Gauge has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gauge gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as KONG accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

KONG should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - KONG has eaten all the pies!

KONG is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Gauge is surviving well by controlling KONG's body position as best he can.

Gauge's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

KONG is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gauge is just riding it out for now. KONG eventually gives up the hold.

KONG is looking for a kimura but Gauge is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for KONG to get the leverage.

KONG is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's time! Gauge's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Gauge stands and steps away. KONG gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

KONG closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
KONG has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
