The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cosby closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cosby lands in his opponent's guard.
Cosby has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ronin is proving hard to escape from.
Cosby tries to free his leg and advance position but Ronin is retaining full guard.

Ronin looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Cosby has picked Ronin up and slammed him! Ronin can't keep hold of the triangle and Cosby manages to pass to side control!
Cosby decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Cosby closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Ronin manages to work his way to half guard, despite Cosby's best efforts.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ronin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Ronin is working for a kimura but Cosby is defending it quite comfortably.
Ronin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cosby is just riding it out for now. Ronin eventually gives up the hold.

Ronin is looking to pass Cosby's guard but actually Cosby recovers to full guard.

so Cosby counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Cosby stays in close to Ronin's body and controls the position.
Ronin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Ronin wants to sweep here but Cosby controlling him for the moment.
Cosby distracts Ronin with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Ronin controls Cosby momentarily but Cosby frees himself.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Cosby shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Ronin is breathing heavily.
Ronin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cosby's guard.
Cosby is trying to control the position but Ronin postures up.
Cosby pushes Ronin off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Ronin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Cosby counters with a shoot takedown. Ronin fights it but they end up in guard.
Ronin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Ronin has his feet on Cosby's thighs here. He's pushed Cosby off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Cosby screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
