Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tyson O Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyson O Day! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Jacobs! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jacobs misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chris Jacobs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. O Day defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jacobs. Jacobs gets caught flat footed, as O Day shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Jacobs is looking for a triangle but O Day pushes his legs off easily.
O Day knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jacobs on the ground. O Day has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jacobs is proving hard to escape from. Jacobs trying to keep a closed guard but O Day is proving a slippery customer.
O Day with a nice head shot there. Jacobs keeping moving, preventing O Day from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Day stands and steps away. Jacobs gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Jacobs with a poor takedown so O Day counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Jacobs is looking for a triangle but O Day pushes his legs off easily.
Jacobs looks gassed! O Day wants to stand but Jacobs is controlling his posture from full guard. O Day throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jacobs works some decent striking defense from the bottom. O Day stops Jacobs from standing up. O Day landing some decent shots from guard. Jacobs keeping moving, preventing O Day from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. O Day postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. O Day wants to stand and escape but instead Jacobs has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. O Day wants to stand up but Jacobs is controlling him. Jacobs trying to control the position from guard on top but O Day is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. O Day on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if O Day tries to get out of the position. O Day is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. O Day content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Jacobs regains full guard. Nicely done. O Day slips nicely into half guard. Jacobs trying to control here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Well, if O Day is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jacobs looks like he's trying to stand up.

Tyson O Day dominated that round. That's time! O Day's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
O Day lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by O Day. Jacobs is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Jacobs tries to close the distance and clinch but O Day swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Jacobs is looking to take this fight into the clinch. O Day closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Jacobs is trying to get back to full guard. Jacobs manages to escape and get back to his feet! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jacobs shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and O Day counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by O Day. Jacobs looking for a sweep. Not yet Jacobs, not yet. O Day is working Jacobs over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Jacobs is trying to keep O Day in close.
Tyson O Day overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jacobs throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
O Day tries to free his leg and advance position but Jacobs is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jacobs controls O Day momentarily but O Day frees himself. O Day controls from within his opponent's guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. O Day shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than O Day was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Jacobs tries to hold on but O Day postures up. O Day looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. O Day putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! O Day lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Jacobs wants to control but O Day is having none of it. O Day controlling his opponent. Jacobs keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jacobs slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Jacobs trying to control from the bottom.
Jacobs is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jacobs is trying to maintain the position but O Day is very close to passing his half guard. Jacobs wants to improve his position but O Day is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tyson O Day dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!
O Day misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jacobs tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but O Day paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jacobs misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

O Day has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. O Day wants to pass the guard but Jacobs is keeping the position. O Day gets to his feet. Jacobs looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Both fighters are breathing heavily. O Day changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jacobs looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jacobs is not content to let O Day control the position. Jacobs is looking for a sweep. Jacobs is trying to control O Day's posture but O Day avoids it. Jacobs sneaks back into half guard. O Day looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
O Day is working for a submission of some sort.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. O Day keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The fighters are battling for position here. Jacobs manages to regain full guard. Nice work. O Day stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jacobs swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jacobs tries to strike from the bottom.

Jacobs controls O Day momentarily but O Day frees himself. O Day throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. O Day darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Jacobs wants to control but O Day is keeping busy.

Chris Jacobs has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tyson O Day is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jacobs throwing short punches from the bottom.
