Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Jacko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Fontana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fontana has chosen Pass The Dutchie as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. James Jacko had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Jacko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paulo Fontana! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jacko lands a nice looking body kick. Fontana will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A head kick misses from Jacko. Fontana misses with an attempted mid kick.
Nice jab there from Jacko. Jacko swings for the body but Fontana moves out of range.
Jacko looks to land a combination but Fontana avoids it well. Jacko throws a right and a left that both miss. Jacko ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fontana moves away. Jacko pushes Fontana away with a front kick. James Jacko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jacko delivers a nice body kick. Fontana misses with a hook. Jacko ducked under it nicely. Fontana throws a hook but Jacko avoids it easily. Jacko displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fontana. Fontana tries to clinch there but Jacko circles away.

Jacko lands a head kick. Fontana smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Fontana is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jacko's half guard. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Fontana closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Fontana is thwarting Jacko's attempts to control the position. Jacko tries to roll over but Fontana keeps him under control. Fontana keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Fontana stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Jacko to get to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jacko pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Jacko tries a head kick but it misses.
Fontana chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jacko can pounce on him.

Fontana shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jacko manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Fontana looks gassed! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Fontana throwing strikes but missing. Fontana trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jacko's guard. Jacko has his foot on Fontana's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fontana works his way back into a safe position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jacko throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Jacko had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fontana defends it easily. Jacko being controlled here, momentarily. Jacko escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fontana gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jacko working for submissions but it's allowed Fontana to get to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that James Jacko will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Fontana is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Jacko will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Jacko wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fontana gets slowly back to his feet. Fontana takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Fontana wants to clinch up but Jacko keeps it at a distance. Fontana closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Fontana fails with the takedown and Jacko counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Jacko moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Fontana looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. James Jacko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paulo Fontana. Fontana tries to move into range but Jacko moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Jacko scoring well with a low kick there.

Jacko is looking to wear down Fontana with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Jacko bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Fontana's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jacko stuffs the takedown attempt from Fontana. Fontana gets slowly back to his feet. Jacko scores with a kick to the body.

Fontana dives in and grabs Jacko's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jacko pushes down on Fontana's head and hops out. Jacko thuds his shin into the meat of Fontana's side. Fontana needs to keep his hands up - Jacko had a free shot at his head there. Nice body kick from Jacko. A decent looking body kick lands there for Jacko. James Jacko is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jacko lands a nice leg kick that just misses Fontana's sensitive parts. Paulo Fontana has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jacko lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Fontana at a distance.

And that's the end of the fight! James Jacko showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jacko, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
