Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tito Acton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry Obomba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tito Acton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Barry Obomba! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Acton tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Obomba paws at him with a jab and circles away. Acton shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Obomba's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Acton won't allow Obomba to sweep him here. Obomba is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Acton has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Obomba is proving hard to escape from. Acton gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Obomba closes the distance and clinches. Acton stops a takedown attempt from Obomba.

Acton keeps control of Obomba as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Obomba has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Acton avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Obomba won't allow Acton to get back to his feet. Acton wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Obomba manages to pass to side control. Obomba thows a huge punch but Acton dodges it nicely.

He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Acton is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Obomba's half guard.

Obomba looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Acton puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Obomba is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Acton's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Acton's back! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Oooh a big shot gets through from Obomba. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Obomba gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Obomba is landing with strikes from the back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Obomba cracks Acton with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Acton from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Obomba wants to control but Acton is keeping busy. Obomba lands a shot to the body.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Obomba connects with a nice short shot to Acton's temple. Obomba wants to take a breather but Acton is having none of it. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Obomba connects with a nice short shot to Acton's temple. Obomba slips a nice elbow through Acton's hands, connecting with Acton's forehead. Acton on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Obomba is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Acton tries to kick Obomba off but Obomba keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Obomba seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Obomba is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Acton! Obomba looking to secure an arm triangle but Acton defends it well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Acton is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Obomba. Acton closes the distance but Obomba moves to the side and Obomba moves into the clinch. Obomba has clasped his hands together around Acton's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Acton is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Obomba thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Obomba landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Acton looks like he's trying to stand up.
