The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon is looking to clinch but Conture is avoiding it.

Gordon shoots in for a takedown but Conture shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gordon is defended easily by Conture.
Sultan Conture has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Craig Gordon.
Conture misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
No joy there for Conture, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Gordon takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

and Conture counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Gordon down! Conture is looking to finish but Gordon is intelligently defending himself.

Conture works over Gordon with some ground and pound from guard.
Gordon will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Conture slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Conture content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Conture cracks Gordon with a big right hand but Gordon just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Conture is putting a hurting on Gordon here, landing some big shots from side control.

Gordon is looking to regain half guard here but Conture keeps moving and retains side control.

Conture decides to stand up, so the ref orders Gordon to his feet.

Gordon is trying desperately to land a takedown but Conture is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Gordon.

Gordon seems to have recovered his senses.
Conture might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Conture postures up and lands a big shot to Gordon's brow.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gordon can't keep his opponent in guard - Conture advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Conture throws a left that rocks Gordon and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Conture dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Gordon regain composure!

Conture looks up at the clock and then as Gordon takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Conture smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Gordon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Conture wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Conture has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gordon takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Conture works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Gordon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Conture. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gordon is breathing heavily.

Conture has hold of Gordon's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Gordon seems comfortable defending it but Conture has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Gordon is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Gordon is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Conture couldn't care less - he's delighted!
