Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hugo Zalcock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Abe Lincoln! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zalcock closes the distance and pushes Lincoln back into the cage. Zalcock lands a shoulder strike. Lincoln tries to score a body lock takedown but Zalcock shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Zalcock lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Lincoln backwards. Zalcock leaning his opponent against the cage. Lincoln tries to pull guard but Zalcock won't allow it.

Hugo Zalcock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abe Lincoln. Lincoln wants a takedown.
Zalcock breaks the clinch.
Lincoln shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zalcock pinned against the cage. Zalcock gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lincoln is defended easily by Zalcock. Lincoln drops his hands momentarily and Zalcock takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Lincoln takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lincoln scores with a takedown into Zalcock's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Lincoln stands and throws Zalcock's legs to the side, diving into side control. Lincoln tries for a kimura but Zalcock is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zalcock tries to escape but Lincoln is in control. Lincoln trying to control the action but Zalcock is working from the bottom. Zalcock is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Lincoln asserts his dominance and retains side control. Lincoln is looking to take a break and control but Zalcock is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lincoln tries to move to mount but Zalcock blocks the move with his legs.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Lincoln moves out of range of the strikes. Lincoln changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Zalcock tries to avoid it but Lincoln manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Zalcock to the ground. Zalcock escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A swing and a miss from Zalcock. Zalcock connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Zalcock scores with a jab to the body. Lincoln shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Zalcock is trying to defend but Lincoln finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Lincoln with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Zalcock is staying active underneath Lincoln, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lincoln tries to pass the half guard into mount. Zalcock knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Lincoln is looking for a kimura here.
Lincoln looks gassed! Zalcock is trying to stand up here but Lincoln is controlling him well. Lincoln wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zalcock keeps working. Zalcock knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lincoln on the ground.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Zalcock misses with a wild combination.
Nice takedown defense from Zalcock. No joy for Lincoln on that attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Zalcock looks to land a combination but Lincoln avoids it well. Zalcock connects with a crisp jab. Zalcock keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. A shot to de liver by Zalcock. Beautiful body shot. Lincoln gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Zalcock looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Zalcock stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zalcock wants it to stay on the feet. Lincoln takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Zalcock jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Zalcock's corner calls for a 1-2. Zalcock obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. A left and a right from Zalcock both land. Nice combination. Lincoln is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Lincoln is rocked! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lincoln loses concentration momentarily and Zalcock pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Lincoln crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Zalcock finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
