Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Starbrough (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Starbrough has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Rogers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Starbrough!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers stuffs the takedown.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Starbrough.
Rogers lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Starbrough circles away quickly and effectively.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Rogers tries to clinch but Starbrough moves out of range.
Rogers doesn't manage to clinch there - Starbrough circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rogers looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Starbrough fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rogers avoids it really well and circles away.
Chris Rogers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Starbrough.

Starbrough will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Starbrough dives in and grabs Rogers's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rogers pushes down on Starbrough's head and hops out.
Starbrough fails with a takedown attempt.
Rogers throws a leg kick which misses Starbrough's front leg but catches the back leg as Starbrough tries to avoid it.

Rogers tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Rogers has taken the fight to the clinch.
Rogers just leaning against Starbrough, taking a breather.
Starbrough takes a knee right on the jaw!
Rogers scores with a knee to the head.
Rogers pressing his opponent against the cage.

Rogers's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Starbrough swats away the attempt to clinch by Rogers.
Starbrough looks to land a left hand but Rogers moved out of range nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rogers, as that shot connected.
Rogers is looking to clinch.
Rogers tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Starbrough dives in and grabs Rogers's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rogers pushes down on Starbrough's head and hops out.
Starbrough looks gassed!
Starbrough closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rogers circles away.
Rogers is looking to clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Rogers shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Starbrough's guard.

Starbrough is working an open guard so Rogers takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Rogers is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rogers tries to close the distance and clinch up but Starbrough swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rogers wants to clinch.

Rogers shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rogers was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Starbrough avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Starbrough avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Rogers tries to clinch but Starbrough moves out of range.
Rogers doesn't manage to clinch there - Starbrough circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rogers drives through and clinches with Starbrough against the cage.

Starbrough drags the fight down to the ground.

Rogers stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Starbrough is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Starbrough feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Rogers is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Starbrough is aware though and is defending well.

Rogers is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Starbrough defends well.
Starbrough postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Starbrough with a flurry of punches that miss.

Rogers looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Starbrough is defending well. Rogers quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Starbrough has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Rogers celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
