Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Brass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Bosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brock Brass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carlos Bosh!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brass moves out of range of the body kick.

Brass shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Brass working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Brass tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bosh knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Brass is trying to control. Bosh wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Brass stops Bosh from getting back to his feet.
Brass wants to control but Bosh is keeping him busy.
Brass is pressing down on Bosh's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bosh is holding on for now.
Bosh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brass. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Brass is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Bosh has managed to free his arm - good work.

Brass is looking for a kimura but Bosh is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Brass to get the leverage.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bosh lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brass circles away quickly and effectively.

Bosh shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Bosh wants to control from the top but Brass keeps moving.
Bosh wanted to stand there but Brass had control of the position.
Bosh trying to control but Brass is working from the bottom.
Brass wants to sweep here but Bosh controlling him for the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bosh dodges the punch combination from Brass.

and Bosh counters with a big head kick but Brass shrugs it off.

Bosh drives through and clinches with Brass against the cage.

Bosh breaks the clinch.

Bosh clinches up against the cage.

Bosh's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bosh misses with a series of wild punches.
Bosh misses with a jab, cross combination.
A thudding body kick lands there by Bosh!

Bosh gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Brass wants a takedown but no success here.
Bosh stops a takedown attempt from Brass.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brock Brass. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bosh jumps guard and drags Brass to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brass wants to control from the top but Bosh keeps moving.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Brass throws a strike but Bosh rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Carlos Bosh dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Bosh looks to land a combination but Brass avoids it well.
No joy there for Bosh, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bosh lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Brass tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Bosh counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Bosh jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Brass walks away with a smile on his face. Bosh gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Brass shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Bosh holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Bosh manages to break the clinch.
Bosh swinging wilding here.

Bosh shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Bosh postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Brass is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bosh, into his guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Brass stops Bosh from standing up.

Brass trying to control the position from guard on top but Bosh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bosh trying to keep a closed guard but Brass is proving a slippery customer.
Bosh is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Brass is controlling him.

Brass gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Brass shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bosh but Bosh pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bosh fails to land the takedown.
Bosh connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Brass misses with a takedown attempt

and Bosh holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Brass drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Bosh breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Brass moves forwards but Bosh connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Brock Brass is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Brass.

Brass drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bosh pulls his leg out and moves away.

Bosh closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bosh lands in his opponent's guard.
Brass looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bosh is one step ahead there.
Bosh wanted to stand there but Brass had control of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carlos Bosh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Brass on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Horrible takedown by Brass or perhaps it was just good defense by Bosh which made him look bad.

Brock Brass overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Brass keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Bosh's head.
Brass prevents Bosh from getting back to his feet.
Bosh is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Brass shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bosh manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Carlos Bosh is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bosh can do anything to dispel that myth.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bosh is looking to stand up but Brass isn't so interested in that idea.
Brock Brass has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Brock Brass showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Bosh has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
