Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jean Valjean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spoon McGinty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valjean kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Saftey dance. Spoon McGinty has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Valjean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Spoon McGinty!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGinty throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Valjean walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Valjean throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! McGinty crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Valjean - the referee stops the clock and McGinty gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Valjean. McGinty manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Valjean throws a right and a left that both miss.
Valjean missing with a left hand there. McGinty was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
McGinty avoids the body shot from Valjean.
McGinty scores with a one two! Valjean had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
McGinty throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
McGinty throws a series of strikes that have Valjean backpedaling.
Valjean needs to keep his hands up - McGinty had a free shot at his head there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Valjean tries to bum rush McGinty with a series of wild strikes but McGinty uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by McGinty!
Valjean is rocked!
McGinty uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Valjean.
Oh Valjean is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
McGinty connects with a nice looking jab.
Valjean looks to land a right hand but McGinty moved out of range.
McGinty connects with a nice cross there... Valjean is looking wobbly and McGinty recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Valjean to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - McGinty jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Spoon McGinty!
