Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Steve Trea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Makanre Sakatoushi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Makanre Sakatoushi will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Trea!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Makanre Sakatoushi!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakatoushi connects with a good right hand that stumbles Trea. Trea circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Sakatoushi gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Trea to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Trea might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Trea in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Trea has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Trea is pushing down on Sakatoushi's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sakatoushi is fighting to maintain full guard but Trea has managed to sneak the leg through.
Trea throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Sakatoushi avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Trea.

Trea wants to free his trapped foot but Sakatoushi is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Sakatoushi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Sakatoushi avoids a series of strikes thrown by Trea.
Trea has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Sakatoushi's face.

Trea goes for an armbar but Sakatoushi turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Sakatoushi.
Trea tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Sakatoushi wants to control from the top but Trea keeps moving.

Sakatoushi trying to stand up but can't free himself from Trea's guard.
Sakatoushi is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Trea manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sakatoushi manages to get himself to full guard.
Sakatoushi controls Trea momentarily but Trea frees himself.
Trea slips nicely into half guard.
Sakatoushi wants to improve his position but Trea is controlling well.
Trea thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sakatoushi wants to improve his position but Trea is controlling well.
Trea thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sakatoushi's head.
Sakatoushi trying to control from the bottom.
Sakatoushi is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Trea is staying active.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sakatoushi lands a head kick!
Sakatoushi scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Sakatoushi lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Trea throws a hook but Sakatoushi blocks it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Steve Trea will probably get the nod.

Sakatoushi lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Trea fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Trea pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Sakatoushi thuds a left hand into Trea's body.
Sakatoushi is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Trea misses with a body shot
and Sakatoushi counters with a stiff right hand.
Trea misses the jab.
Trea throws a sloppy body shot
and Sakatoushi counters with a nice body kick.
Sakatoushi digs a good hook to Trea's body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Trea is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Sakatoushi.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sakatoushi bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Sakatoushi getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

A jab lands there for Sakatoushi.
Trea takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Trea tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sakatoushi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Trea takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Trea on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Sakatoushi. Sakatoushi obviously looking to wear him down.
Trea takes one on the button.
Sakatoushi lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Trea takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sakatoushi scoring well with a low kick there.
Sakatoushi looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Trea takes one on the button.
Sakatoushi connects with a body shot.

Steve Trea seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sakatoushi scores with a one two! Trea had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Sakatoushi cracks a nice hook into Trea's ribs.
Sakatoushi bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Trea's head.
Sakatoushi lands a nice shot that snaps Trea's head back.


Trea is rocked!
A jab from Sakatoushi finds it's way through Trea's defenses.
Trea takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Sakatoushi stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
A nice inside leg kick there by Sakatoushi. That's going to slow Trea down.
Sakatoushi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Trea momentarily.

Sakatoushi lands a left and a right that send Trea crashing to the mat, dazed. Sakatoushi thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Oh Trea is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sakatoushi lands a nice looking body shot.

Sakatoushi lands with a right that hurts Trea. Trea looks to clinch but Sakatoushi throws a short knee that drops Trea. This one is all over!
