The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks throws a series of punches but FAISAL avoids them all with ease.
FAISAL checks a leg kick.
Banks lands with a slapping head kick.
Dave Banks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from Banks. No joy for FAISAL on that attempt.
Banks stuffs the takedown.
FAISAL shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Banks as he avoids it easily.

FAISAL is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Banks doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time FAISAL.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Banks kicks off FAISAL and gets to his feet.

Banks throws a nice outside leg kick.
FAISAL fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Banks sprawls well initially but FAISAL persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
FAISAL is stalling here. Banks is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! FAISAL seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Banks has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

FAISAL is trying to strike from the bottom but Banks has passed into full mount.
Banks can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as FAISAL is looking to escape.

The referee warns FAISAL that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Banks lands with some vicious ground and pound - can FAISAL hang on?
FAISAL wants to hold on but Banks pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Banks wants to control the action but instead FAISAL gets a body lock and reverses into Banks's guard! Nice work!
FAISAL drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says FAISAL as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Banks screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with FAISAL! Nice submission victory there!
