Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lukus Haas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stevenson comes to the cage accompanied by System Of A Down - Science. Haas has chosen Drowning Pool's Bodies as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Stevenson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lukus Haas! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Lou da Vinci and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Haas ducks right into an uppercut from Stevenson.
It looks like Lukus Haas has been cut. Haas tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stevenson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Haas somewhat. Stevenson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Haas's hands. Stevenson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Haas at a distance.
Haas closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Haas lands in his opponent's guard. Stevenson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Haas manages to get himself to full guard.
Stevenson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Haas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stevenson has managed to get both his arms back between Haas's legs - danger averted. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stevenson content to stall in guard here. Haas looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Stevenson has picked Haas up and slammed him! Haas can't keep hold of the triangle and Stevenson manages to pass to side control! Stevenson is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Haas tries to get back to half guard but can't. Haas looks gassed! You can see the frustration on Haas's face as Stevenson controls the position.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Nick Stevenson just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Haas wants to clinch. Stevenson scores with a shot to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Haas doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Stevenson stuns Haas with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stevenson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Stevenson connects with a single shot there. Stevenson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Haas stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Stevenson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Stevenson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Stevenson lands a nice shot to the body.
Haas walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Nick Stevenson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Stevenson jabs at Haas's body. Stevenson cracks Haas with a right hand to the side of the head. Stevenson lands with a cross. Stevenson scores with a three punch combo!
Haas is rocked! Stevenson closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Haas out cold! Haas corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Nick Stevenson!
