Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter comes into the arena with 99 Problems Remix blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter misses with a hook. Wallace ducked under it nicely.

Carter perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Carter seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wallace does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Carter seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Carter stands up and beckons Wallace to join him on the feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Wallace throws a lazy right hand but Carter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Shawn Carter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wallace throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Carter keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Wallace cracks Carter with an open hand slap.
Carter tests Wallace's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Wallace drops his hands momentarily and Carter takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Wallace drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Carter manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Wallace has Carter in his guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Carter decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Wallace looks to land a right hand but Carter moved out of range.

Carter throws an overhand right that lands on Wallace's shoulder, as Wallace tries to avoid the shot.

Wallace shoots in but Carter avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Wallace is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Carter is just riding it out for now. Wallace eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Wallace takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Carter blocks a jab.
Wallace pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Carter bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Wallace throws an overhand right that lands on Carter's shoulder, as Carter tries to avoid the shot.

Shawn Carter is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Wallace is looking for a sweep.
Carter decides to stand back up. Carter steps back and let's Wallace get back to his feet.

Wallace stuns Carter with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Shawn Carter.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Carter, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
