Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Benton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gringo Gringo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

8 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gringo Gringo! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gringo slips under a jab from Benton. The fight stays on the outside here - Gringo looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Gringo slips a jab from Benton. Gringo tries to close the distance and clinch but Benton swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Gringo moves in looking to clinch but Benton pushes him off. Gringo throws a right hand that Benton ducks under and follows up with a left that Benton also avoids with ease. Gringo is looking to clinch but Benton is avoiding it.
Benton pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Gringo tries to clinch up but Benton circles away and keeps his distance. Gringo lands a two punch combo.

Benton throws a nice looking combination but Gringo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Gringo looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Gringo has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gringo there as he acknowledges the shot. Benton delivers a nice body kick. Benton scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Benton is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Benton throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Benton is looking to slow Gringo down with leg kicks. Benton has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. A thudding body kick lands there by Benton!

And that's the end of the fight! Sam Benton showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Benton, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
