Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Essian stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Essian wants it to stay on the feet. Gibbs shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Essian tries to reverse the position but Gibbs maintains control. Gibbs landing strikes, looking to finish! Gibbs is in the full mount, landing strikes. Gibbs lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Gibbs working for a guillotine from mount but Essian is in no mood to give up. Essian wants to control but Gibbs is having none of it. Gibbs working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gibbs looking for a guillotine from mount but Essian is having none of it. Essian wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Essian is looking to get to half guard. Essian is working hard here to advance position. Essian tries to hold on but Gibbs postures up. Gibbs scoring with strikes but Essian is staying in there. Gibbs has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Essian's face.

Gibbs jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Essian is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Essian and Gibbs has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gibbs wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Essian, who protects the arm well. Gibbs looks up at the clock and then as Essian takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Gibbs smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gibbs content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Gibbs is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Essian is trying to escape and Gibbs transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Essian is forced to tap! Nice work there by Gibbs! Very nice indeed!
