Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xander Cellent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Moshe Gold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cellent comes to the cage accompanied by Personal Jesus - Lollipop Lust Kill. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Xander Cellent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Moshe Gold!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cellent tries to clinch up.

Gold fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cellent, pushing him back against the cage.
Cellent tries to pull guard but Gold holds him up against the cage and eventually Cellent drops back down to his feet.
A bit of stalling here from Gold.
Cellent wants to get back to striking at distance but Gold won't allow it.

Gold breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Gold has eaten all the pies!
Cellent tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Gold counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Gold looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Gold is thwarting Cellent's attempts to control the position.
Gold thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Cellent to regain full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gold wants to stand but Cellent has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Gold wants to control from the top but Cellent keeps moving.
Cellent is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Cellent looking for a sweep. Not yet Cellent, not yet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Cellent closes the distance but Gold moves to the side

and Gold counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gold.
Cellent keeping moving, preventing Gold from controlling successfully.
Cellent controls Gold momentarily but Gold frees himself.
Cellent is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gold is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Gold trying to control but Cellent is working from the bottom.
Gold wants to stand but Cellent is controlling his posture from full guard.
Cellent really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Cellent keeping moving, preventing Gold from controlling successfully.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Gold tries to free his leg and advance position but Cellent is retaining full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Cellent tries to clinch but Gold moves away

and Gold counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Gold looking to sit in guard and control but Cellent gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Cellent is breathing heavily.
Cellent wants to stand but Gold is controlling his posture from full guard.
Cellent wants to control from the top but Gold keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Moshe Gold dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Gold fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cellent manages to avoid it.

Gold has Cellent up against the cage in a clinch.
Cellent jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gold walks away with a smile on his face. Cellent gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Gold pivots, looking for a leg kick but Cellent is out of range and Gold settles back down.
Cellent looks to clinch

and Gold counters by moving into the clinch.
Cellent wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Gold has him pressed against the cage.

Gold lands a takedown into guard.
Cellent trying to keep a closed guard but Gold is proving a slippery customer.
Gold is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Cellent manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gold manages to get himself to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cellent trying to control but Gold is working from the bottom.
Cellent passes Gold's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Gold is looking for a sweep. Cellent is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Cellent will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Cellent is trying to control the action in half guard but Gold is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Cellent missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gold has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cellent is working away from the top position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gold is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Gold is looking to control Cellent's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gold avoid being mounted?

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Gold closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Cellent goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Gold lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Cellent backwards.
Gold has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cellent is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Cellent tries to break free but Gold pushes him back against the cage.
Gold wants a takedown but no success here.
Cellent is trying to break the clinch but Gold has him pressed against the cage.

Gold breaks from the clinch.
Cellent misses with a takedown attempt

and Gold counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Gold.

Gold lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gold missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Gold looks to land a strike but Cellent avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Gold sitting in guard here, content to control.
Gold trying to control the position from guard on top but Cellent is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Moshe Gold has got the better of the ground game so far.

Gold stands and steps away. Cellent gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gold shoots in for a takedown but Cellent shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Xander Cellent has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Moshe Gold.

so Gold counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Gold advances position into side control!

Gold decides to stand up, so the ref orders Cellent to his feet.
Cellent looks to land a combination. Gold sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Moshe Gold showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Gold closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gold lands in his opponent's guard.
Gold must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Cellent looking for a sweep. Not yet Cellent, not yet.

Cellent is looking to regain half guard here but Gold keeps moving and retains side control.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gold misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Moshe Gold comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Gold winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
