Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cake Motown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Blatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blatt is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: you're going down- sick puppies. Jeff Blatt has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Motown closes this distance looking for a takedown but Blatt circles away.
Blatt looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

so Motown counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Motown drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Motown jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Motown passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Motown tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Motown has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Blatt is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Motown off and has taken his back!

Blatt is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Motown knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Motown for a finish.

You can see the frustration on Motown's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Blatt is looking for a choke. Motown gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Motown manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.
Blatt pulls Motown in close to his closed guard and prevents Motown from doing any damage or advancing position.

Motown drops back, looking for a kneebar! Blatt looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Blatt looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Blatt!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Motown shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Blatt but Blatt pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Blatt tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Motown swivels and escapes.

Motown tries to roll over but Blatt keeps him under control.
Blatt wants to control but Motown is keeping him busy.

Blatt decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Blatt connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Blatt throws a series of punches but Motown avoids them all with ease.

Blatt is looking to clinch but Motown is avoiding it.
Motown dives in and grabs Blatt's left leg, looking for a takedown. Blatt pushes down on Motown's head and hops out.

Motown tries to keep at a distance but Blatt has taken the fight into the clinch.

Blatt jumps into guard, dragging Motown to the mat.
Blatt manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Motown manages to get himself to full guard.

Blatt stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Motown has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Blatt manages to get his head free but now Motown has transitioned to an armbar! Blatt grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Motown! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
