Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Franc Haiti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sammy Alpaca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Franc Haiti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sammy Alpaca!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haiti shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Haiti pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Alpaca moves into the clinch.
Haiti misses with an elbow over the top.

Alpaca is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Haiti can't fight it off and eventually Alpaca manages to take the fight to the floor. Haiti looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Alpaca advances to half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Alpaca in particular looking to stall.
Alpaca is trying to control the action in half guard but Haiti is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Haiti misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Haiti tries to kick Alpaca off but Alpaca keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Alpaca working Haiti over with strikes.
Alpaca is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Alpaca working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Haiti keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Alpaca controlling the action here.

Alpaca is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Haiti doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Alpaca.

Alpaca is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Haiti to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
Alpaca slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Alpaca advances to half guard.
Alpaca wants to free his trapped foot but Haiti is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Haiti is trying to get back to full guard.
Alpaca wants to control but Haiti is keeping him busy.
Alpaca trying to mount his opponent but Haiti defends it.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Alpaca throwing shots but Haiti is blocking nicely.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Haiti is looking to improve his position.
Alpaca has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Haiti looks like he's trying to stand up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Haiti tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Alpaca paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Alpaca shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Haiti as he avoids it easily.

Alpaca scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Alpaca seems to be working for a kimura but Haiti defends the submission attempt.
Haiti manages to get to full guard.

Haiti looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Alpaca with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Haiti is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Haiti is breathing heavily.
Alpaca with a nice head shot there.
Haiti keeping full guard, as Alpaca tries to pass.
Alpaca stands up over Haiti, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Haiti is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Alpaca is aware though and is defending well.
Alpaca cracks Haiti with a solid left hand.
Alpaca trying to control but Haiti is working from the bottom.
Alpaca not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Alpaca stands up over Haiti, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Alpaca stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Alpaca doesn't manage to clinch there - Haiti circles away.
Haiti has his takedown stuffed

and Alpaca counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Haiti is trying to control the position but Alpaca postures up.
Alpaca makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Alpaca wants to control from the top but Haiti keeps moving.
Alpaca keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Haiti's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sammy Alpaca dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Alpaca has managed to clinch.

Alpaca manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Alpaca throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Alpaca is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Haiti trying to control the position from guard on top but Alpaca is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Alpaca looking to hit a scissor sweep but Haiti is one step ahead there.
Alpaca manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Haiti manages to get himself to full guard.

Haiti throws his legs up looking for a submission but Alpaca uses it to pass to side control.
Alpaca lands a few punches from side control.
Alpaca cracks Haiti with a big right hand but Haiti just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Sammy Alpaca has got the better of the ground game so far.
Alpaca looks up at the clock and then as Haiti takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Alpaca smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Haiti takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Alpaca is chipping away with strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Alpaca slows the pace down.

Alpaca has hold of Haiti's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Haiti tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Alpaca cranks the arm and Haiti screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Haiti, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Sammy Alpaca!
