Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nyk Siuh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mart Mono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mono has chosen Roots rock Reggae as his entrance music. Mart Mono is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mart Mono! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Mono or perhaps it was just good defense by Siuh which made him look bad. Mono looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Siuh scores with a takedown into Mono's guard. Siuh thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Siuh is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mono Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Siuh's back instead. Mono is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Siuh knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Siuh for a finish. Siuh breaks Mono's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mono has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Siuh is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mono. Siuh tries for a kimura but Mono is defending well. Siuh is working to tighten is grip on Mono's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Mono has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Siuh is really squeezing tight and eventually Mono passes out! Siuh breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
