The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dog looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Dog takes one to the chin there. Dog gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Swindells tries to break free but Dog pushes him back against the cage. Dog escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Swindells tries to clinch but Dog moves away and Dog counters with a takedown into side control. Dog decides to stand back up. The crowd cheers as Swindells lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dog doesn't seem phased though. Swindells throws a sloppy head kick and Dog counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Dog. Dog pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Dog has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Dog there as he acknowledges the shot. Swindells looks to clinch and Dog counters by moving into the clinch. Dog ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dog no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Dog is pulling down on Swindells's head. It's preventing any offense from Swindells, at least for the moment. Swindells looking to pass the guard. Dog throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
