Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Davo Eduardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saigo Kogihiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Davo Eduardo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Saigo Kogihiro!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Hirohito Nitta and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kogihiro moves into the clinch.

Kogihiro works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Eduardo keeping moving, preventing Kogihiro from controlling successfully.
Eduardo is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kogihiro won't allow Eduardo to sweep him here.
Eduardo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kogihiro is looking to work some ground and pound but Eduardo has wrist control.
Eduardo seems keen to control Kogihiro's posture.

Eduardo manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Kogihiro tries to hold on but Eduardo pushes him away.

Eduardo is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kogihiro has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kogihiro!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Eduardo is working hard here to advance position.

Kogihiro avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kogihiro wanted to stand there but Eduardo had control of the position.

Eduardo swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kogihiro is now in Eduardo's guard. A big mistake from Eduardo there, giving up the dominant position!

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Eduardo holds on and takes a little breather.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Eduardo looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Kogihiro puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Kogihiro throwing shots but Eduardo is blocking nicely.
Kogihiro wants to lay and pray for a moment but Eduardo keeps working.
Eduardo is trying to control but can't.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kogihiro pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kogihiro circles away from the clinch attempt

and Kogihiro counters with a shoot takedown. Eduardo fights it but they end up in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Saigo Kogihiro dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Eduardo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kogihiro is looking to stall here but Eduardo recovers full guard.

Kogihiro must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Eduardo is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Eduardo drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Eduardo seems to have locked his on tight now - Kogihiro screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Eduardo, as he picks up the win!
