PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Dee Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jay Dee Penn told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Doe shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Doe was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Penn misses with a takedown attempt

so Doe counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Doe is working Penn over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

John Doe dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Penn counters with a nice double leg into side control. Doe won't be happy with that.

Penn is working to tighten is grip on Doe's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Doe has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Penn is really squeezing tight and eventually Doe passes out! Penn breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
