Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Adon Reis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kyle Reese! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reis throws a head kick but Reese moves out of range.
Reese avoids the head kick by Reis.
Reis tries a head kick but it misses.
Kyle Reese seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Reese shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Reese was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Reis is in a horrible position here. Reese smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Reese is landing with some decent strikes but Reis is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Reese lands a nice shot to the head. Reese with a couple of short strikes. Reis gets back to half guard. Reese missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Reese is looking to take a break and control but Reis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Reese sitting and controlling from the half guard. Reis trying to control here.
That's one minute gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Reese connects with a nice short shot to Reis's temple. Reese misses with a head shot. Reis uses the momentum to regain guard. Reese throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Reese lands a couple of decent looking shots. Reese landing some decent shots from guard. Reese tries to free his leg and advance position but Reis is retaining full guard. Reese postures up in Reis's guard and throws a big left but Reis blocks it. Reese with a flurry of punches that miss. Reese throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Reis wants to stand and escape but Reese is having none of it. Reese is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Reis is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Reis has escaped and now he's on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reese wants to sweep here but Reis controlling him for the moment. Reese is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Reis wants to control from the top but Reese keeps moving. Reis looking to sit in guard and control but Reese gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Reese distracts Reis with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Reese wants to control from the top but Reis keeps moving. Reese is in close to Reis's body, working some short punches and elbows. Reese with a flurry of punches that miss. Reese missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Reese lying in Reis's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Reis decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Reese taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
