Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Benny Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Ferro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Benny Allen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jerry Ferro! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! An inside leg kick from Allen misses. Allen avoids a punch combination nicely.
Allen slips a jab and a cross from Ferro.
Ferro lands a jab-cross combination. Ferro steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Allen. Ferro throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Allen. Allen throws a nice looking combination but Ferro bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ferro will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ferro lands with a shot to the body. Allen ducks under a wild hook from Ferro. Ferro lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Allen circles away quickly and effectively. Ferro swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
so Allen counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Allen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Ferro wants to sweep here but Allen controlling him for the moment. Ferro not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Allen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ferro swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ferro will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Allen passes Ferro's left leg - he's now in half guard. Allen wants to take a breather but Ferro is having none of it. Allen controlling the action here. Allen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ferro does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Allen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ferro doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Allen. Ferro trying to control from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Allen seems content to control. Ferro is not content to let Allen control the position. Allen is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ferro is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Allen in particular looking to stall.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Benny Allen just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Allen slips under a jab from Ferro.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Ferro looks to score with a jab to the body but Allen is just out of range. Ferro thows a body shot but no joy. Ferro throws the left hand but Allen avoids the punch easily. Ferro wants to clinch and Allen counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Ferro trying to control the position here. Allen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ferro swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Benny Allen dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Ferro checks a leg kick. Allen is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ferro's half guard. Allen prevents Ferro from improving his position. Allen throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Allen is looking to advance position but Ferro won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Allen content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Allen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ferro does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ferro moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Allen trying to control the position from guard on top but Ferro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Allen sitting in guard, not really doing much. Ferro trying to keep a closed guard but Allen is proving a slippery customer.
Allen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ferro is keeping the position for now. Allen wants to stand but Ferro has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Allen stands up from Ferro's guard - Allen perhaps looking for a knockout. Allen takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Jerry Ferro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ferro moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Ferro misses with a series of wild punches.
Allen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ferro misses the shot to the body. Jerry Ferro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ferro throws an overhand right that lands on Allen's shoulder, as Allen tries to avoid the shot. Allen moves into the clinch. Ferro taking a breather. Ferro misses with the head strike.
Allen breaks the clinch.
Ferro dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Ferro is looking to clinch. Benny Allen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Allen showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ferro.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Allen slips under a jab from Ferro. Allen throws a body punch but Ferro moves out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Benny Allen dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Allen instigates a clinch. Ferro lands an uppercut. Ferro doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Allen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Allen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ferro does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Allen frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Allen wants to control the pace but Ferro is squirming around nicely. Ferro has given up his back.

Ferro covering up well under a barage of strikes. Jerry Ferro has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ferro prevents Allen from getting a body triangle. Allen struggling to land strikes to the head as Ferro covers up. Allen missing with punches from the back. Ferro can't escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Allen looking for the choke from the back. Ferro trying to control the position but Allen manages to sink in the hooks. Allen tightening his grip on Ferro, looking for the choke. Allen keeps control of the position as Ferro tries to break free.
Ferro takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Allen working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Ferro staying busy and making it hard for Allen to control. Ferro manages to reverse the position and now he's in Allen's guard. Nice work there by Ferro.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ferro is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Allen trying to control the position here.
And that's the end of the fight! Benny Allen showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Allen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
