Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daisu Miyagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samoa Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samoa Joe has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Daisu Miyagi's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daisu Miyagi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Samoa Joe! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joe changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Joe tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Miyagi was well out of range. Poor timing from Joe. Joe avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Miyagi leaves Joe with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. The fight stays on the outside here - Miyagi looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Joe throws and low kick but Miyagi moves out of range easily. Joe throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Joe scores a takedown into full mount! Joe looking to ground and pound but Miyagi is blocking nicely. Joe misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miyagi is looking to improve his position but Joe isn't that keen on the idea. Miyagi is bucking up trying to escape but Joe cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Miyagi tries to get back to half guard but can't. Joe with good strikes from the mount here!
It looks like Daisu Miyagi has been cut. Joe throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Joe thowing shots but they're missing. Poor strikes thrown by Joe there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Miyagi tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miyagi holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Joe tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Joe controlling his opponent. Joe breaks from Miyagi's wrist control and lands an elbow. Miyagi wants to control but Joe is having none of it. Miyagi is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joe thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Joe controlling the pace for now. Joe can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Miyagi is looking to escape. Joe lands with some strikes. Miyagi tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. A nice elbow there by Joe. Joe lands a big shot there that rocks Miyagi but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Miyagi is trying to stand up. Joe landing strikes from the mount.
Daisu Miyagi's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Joe lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Jeez, Daisu Miyagi's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Daisu Miyagi's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Samoa Joe!
