Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jhon Paks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Roddick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cain Roddick is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jhon Paks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cain Roddick! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paks tries to clinch but Roddick is having none of it. Paks looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Paks will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Roddick gets in close and instigates a clinch. Roddick breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Roddick shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Paks manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Roddick stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Paks swivels though and keeps the full guard. Paks is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Roddick is trying to maintain the position but Paks is very close to passing his half guard. Roddick wants to improve his position but Paks is controlling well.
Paks is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Roddick doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Paks. Roddick trying to control but Paks postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roddick is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Roddick keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Roddick wants to control but Paks is keeping busy.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Roddick gets the takedown into side control. Roddick trying to control the action but Paks is working from the bottom. Paks tries to improve position but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roddick lands some shots froms side control. Paks manages to work his way to half guard, despite Roddick's best efforts. Roddick wants to lay and pray for a moment but Paks keeps working. Roddick prevents Paks from improving his position. Roddick working over Paks with some ground and pound. Paks looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Paks is trying to get back to full guard. Roddick stands up from half guard. Roddick scores with a leg kick.

Roddick decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Paks is trying to get back to full guard. Roddick trying to control the action but Paks is working from the bottom. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Roddick lands a nice short elbow. Paks is trying to get back to full guard. Roddick seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Paks does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Paks is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Roddick scores with a couple of nice shots. Roddick is trying to control. Paks wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Cain Roddick dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Roddick changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Paks looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Paks is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Paks takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Paks is trying to get back to half guard. Paks prevents Roddick from moving into mount. Roddick trying to control the position but Paks is working away. Paks is positioning himself to get back to half guard. That's one minute gone in the round. Roddick stands up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Horrible takedown by Roddick or perhaps it was just good defense by Paks which made him look bad. Roddick looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Paks looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Roddick wants to take a breather but Paks is having none of it. Paks is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Paks is working hard here to advance position. Paks is staying active underneath Roddick, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Paks tries to get to full guard but Roddick has control of the leg.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Roddick with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Roddick moves into the clinch. Roddick has picked Paks up - he's going for a ride! Roddick dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roddick seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Paks does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Roddick is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Paks doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Roddick. Roddick tries to stand but can't do so whilst Paks controls his leg. Paks tries to roll over but Roddick keeps him under control. Cain Roddick has got the better of the ground game so far. Ground and pound from Roddick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Paks wants to get back to full guard. Paks could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Paks actively working from the bottom here.

Paks tries to roll over but Roddick keeps him under control. Roddick decides to return to a standing position. Paks closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Paks is pressing down on Roddick's thigh, looking to free his foot. Roddick is holding on for now. Paks is thwarting Roddick's attempts to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cain Roddick showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Roddick doesn't succeed with the takedown and Paks counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Roddick's guard now. Paksis looking to pass into half guard but Roddick pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Roddick is in guard. Paks has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Roddick is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Paks. Roddick stands up and we're back to a striking position. Roddick shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Roddick showed some decent athleticism there. Roddick is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

That's one minute gone in the round. Paks wants to sweep here but Roddick controlling him for the moment. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Paks is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Roddick got a little sloppy there for a moment and Paks has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Roddick has managed to get both his arms back between Paks's legs - danger averted. Paks is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Paks looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Paks is trying to reverse the position but instead Roddick has taken his back - oops! Paks wants to escape the position.
Paks looking very determined here, making life difficult for Roddick.
Roddick might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Paks kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Paks rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Paks gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Roddick counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Cain Roddick. Well Roddick has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
