Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miren Amiano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riddick Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyson has chosen go hard or go home as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Riddick Tyson! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Amiano looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tyson is defended easily by Amiano. Tyson misses with a takedown attempt - Amiano sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Miren Amiano has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Riddick Tyson. Tyson shoots in but no luck this time. Tyson tries for a takedown but Amiano sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Tyson fails with a takedown attempt. Tyson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tyson shoots in looking for a takedown. Amiano tries to sprawl out of it but Tyson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Amiano manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Amiano scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Tyson trying to get back to full guard but Amiano takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Amiano can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tyson is looking to escape. Tyson is trying to escape the mount.

Tyson shoots and misses and Amiano counters with a lovely straight right hand! Tyson has his takedown stuffed and Amiano counters with a head kick. That will keep Tyson thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Tyson fails with the takedown and Amiano counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Miren Amiano has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Riddick Tyson. Tyson gets back to full guard.
Amiano wants to control from the top but Tyson keeps moving. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Tyson trying to keep a closed guard but Amiano is proving a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Tyson doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Amiano has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Tyson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Amiano! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tyson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Amiano can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Amiano looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Tyson! Submission of the night perhaps?
