Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hosperides Silveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malcolm Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silveira is looking to clinch but Mitchell is avoiding it.
Mitchell shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Mitchell fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Mitchell is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Mitchell throws a body kick that misses.
Silveira throws a series of punches but Mitchell avoids them all with ease.
Mitchell changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Silveira looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Silveira is trying to control Mitchell's posture but Mitchell avoids it.
Mitchell trying to control the action but Silveira is working from the bottom.
Silveira is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Mitchell decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Silveira doesn't manage to clinch there - Mitchell circles away.
Mitchell has closed the distance and engaged Silveira in a clinch.

Mitchell lands a body punch.
Silveira is working for takedown but Mitchell is calmly controlling the position for now.

Mitchell turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Mitchell manages to end up in side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mitchell has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Silveira throws a series of punches but Mitchell moves out of range.
Mitchell connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Silveira is breathing heavily.
Silveira lunges at Mitchell with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mitchell's hand.
It looks like Malcolm Mitchell has been cut.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mitchell.
Mitchell drives through with a takedown into guard.
Silveira has his foot on Mitchell's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mitchell works his way back into a safe position though.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Silveira looking for a guillotine here but Mitchell defends easily.
Mitchell slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Silveira doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Mitchell passes into half guard.
Silveira is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Silveira wants to control the action here but instead Mitchell manages to pass to full mount!
Silveira tries to hold on but Mitchell pushes him away.
Mitchell looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Silveira is trying to escape the mount.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Silveira swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Silveira tries to lock up and control but Mitchell gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Silveira tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Silveira prevents any damage by holding on tight.
Silveira is desperately trying to improve his position but Mitchell has a good base and remains in mount.
Silveira is trying to reverse the position but instead Mitchell has taken his back - oops!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Silveira breaks Mitchell's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Silveira wants to stand but Mitchell has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Silveira clinches but Mitchell breaks the clinch
and Mitchell counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Mitchell is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Silveira's half guard.
Silveira pushes Mitchell off looking to stand but Mitchell dives back in and keeps control.
Mitchell is looking to advance position but Silveira won't allow it.
Silveira throws a strike from the bottom but Mitchell passes into side control!
Silveira is trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mitchell grinds an elbow into Silveira's temple.
Silveira tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Mitchell easily slips into full mount!
Silveira can't escape the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mitchell is working for a guillotine from mount but Silveira frees his head quite easily.
Mitchell prevents Silveira from getting the reversal.
You get the feeling that Silveira really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Silveira wants to control but Mitchell is having none of it.

Silveira is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Mitchell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silveira. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mitchell winds up and cracks Silveira with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

and Mitchell counters with a shoot takedown. Silveira fights it but they end up in guard.
Mitchell wants to control from the top but Silveira keeps moving.

Mitchell wants the takedown. Silveira is fighting it off but Mitchell persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Silveira's guard against the cage.

Silveira isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Mitchell stacks Silveira on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Mitchell!
