The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshiari fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Yoshiari connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Aldo is pressed up against the cage. Yoshiari has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Aldo down to the mat. Aldo avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Yoshiari lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Aldo circles away quickly and effectively.

Aldo is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

A close round but Okuma Yoshiari will probably get the nod.
