PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Blatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fullsize Mirror (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blatt comes to the cage accompanied by you're going down- sick puppies. Mirror comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ordinary Guy--- Blue Scholars kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeff Blatt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fullsize Mirror!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mirror thows a body shot but no joy.
Mirror lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Blatt circles away quickly and effectively.
Blatt uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mirror has time to react.

It looks like Fullsize Mirror has been cut.
Blatt cracks Mirror with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Blatt tries to close the distance and clinch but Mirror swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Blatt is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mirror's half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Blatt slows the pace down in half guard.

Well, if Blatt is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Mirror wants to get back to full guard.
Blatt tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mirror knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Blatt lands with a shot to the body.

Blatt shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Mirror is defending against the submission attempts here by Blatt.

Blatt is looking for a kimura but Mirror is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Blatt to get the leverage.

Blatt stops Mirror from getting back to his feet.

Mirror is pushing off trying to get to his feet. Blatt has hold of the leg though and he's dropped back for a heel hook… has he got it?? YES! Mirror is tapping! This fight is all over!
