Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Gwar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Darwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charles Darwin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ray Gwar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charles Darwin! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gwar misses with a double jab.
Gwar displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Darwin. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Darwin is defended easily by Gwar. Gwar misses with a takedown and Darwin counters with a takedown into side control. Darwin cracks Gwar with a big right hand but Gwar just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Darwin misses with the ground and pound. Darwin lands some shots froms side control. Darwin creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
It looks like Ray Gwar has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Darwin scoring with punches and elbows. Gwar takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Darwin looking to control but instead Gwar has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Gwar regains full guard. Nicely done. Gwar striking off his back but it's not causing Darwin any problems. Darwin trying to control the position from guard on top but Gwar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Darwin landing with the ground and pound. Darwin lands a couple of elbows. Darwin slips nicely into half guard. Gwar is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Darwin pulls his head out easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Darwin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Gwar is looking to control Darwin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gwar avoid being mounted? Gwar is refusing to be controlled, as Darwin sits in half guard. Darwin wants to stand but Gwar has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Darwin wants to take a breather but Gwar is having none of it. Darwin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Darwin with a lazy takedown attempt and Gwar counters with a three punch combo that has Darwin backing up. Darwin nods at Gwar to acknowledge the strikes. Ray Gwar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Darwin. Gwar fails with the takedown and Darwin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gwar actively working from the bottom here. Darwin has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Gwar works to full guard. Gwar trying to keep a closed guard but Darwin is proving a slippery customer.
Darwin won't allow Gwar to get back to his feet. Darwin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gwar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Darwin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Gwar is controlling Darwin's posture.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Gwar throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Darwin trying to control the position from guard on top but Gwar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Darwin shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Gwar manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Darwin throwing strikes from guard but Gwar blocks nicely. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Darwin works a leg free and moves into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charles Darwin dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ray Gwar's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Gwar gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Darwin trying to control the position from guard on top but Gwar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gwar working a defensive guard here.

Darwin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gwar is keeping the position for now. Gwar is trying to control the position but Darwin postures up. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Gwar throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Darwin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gwar won't be happy with that. Darwin moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Gwar is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Darwin takes a little break here. Gwar wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Gwar is trying to control Darwin's posture but Darwin avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Darwin creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Gwar sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Darwin has control of an arm but Gwar manages to advance to Darwin's back! Darwin wants to escape the position.
Gwar working for the choke. Charles Darwin has got the better of the ground game so far. Gwar keeps control of the position as Darwin tries to break free.
Gwar is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Gwar gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Gwar gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Gwar apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Darwin doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Gwar counter with a right hand. Darwin has his takedown stuffed and Gwar counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Gwar is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Gwar is stalling here. Darwin is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Gwar seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Darwin has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Darwin is looking to take a break and control but Gwar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Gwar isn't going anywhere. Darwin working the strikes but Gwar uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Darwin blocks the strikes from Gwar.
Gwar tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Gwar is not content to let Darwin control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ray Gwar dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Ray Gwar's cut. That's time! Gwar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Darwin fails with the takedown and Gwar decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Darwin's guard. Darwin pushes Gwar off and scrambles back to his feet.
Darwin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gwar sprawls well initially but Darwin persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Darwin looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Darwin looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Darwin passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Gwar! The referee warns Gwar that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Gwar is squirming around, avoiding Darwin's attempts to control the action. Darwin dominating with strikes here. Darwin prevents Gwar from getting the reversal. Darwin landing strikes, looking to finish! Gwar tries to hold on but Darwin postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Darwin. Gwar flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

Gwar tries to hold on but Darwin pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Darwin looking to control but Gwar is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Darwin lands a big elbow. Gwar wants to control but Darwin is having none of it.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Ray Gwar just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Darwin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Darwin perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gwar actively working from the bottom here. Gwar is trying to maintain the position but Darwin is very close to passing his half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Charles Darwin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Darwin has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
